The first day of school is a special milestone in every child's life. It marks the beginning of a new journey filled with learning, friendship, and growth. Whether it’s nursery or a higher class, the day should be joyful, welcoming, and stress-free for both children and parents.

🏫 Purpose of the First Day

• To ease students into the school environment.

• To build trust between teachers, students, and parents.

• To introduce classroom rules and routines in a friendly way.

• To spark excitement and curiosity about learning.

🌼 For Nursery / Kindergarten Children

1. Warm Welcome: Greet each child with a smile, a name tag, and a small token like a sticker or balloon.

2. Parent Involvement: Allow parents to settle the child with a short classroom tour or a 10–15 minute stay.

3. Play-Based Introduction: Begin with toys, rhymes, puppet shows, or storytelling rather than strict academics.

4. Classroom Tour: Introduce them to key places like the washroom, play area, and teacher's table.

5. Short Schedule: Keep the first day short and light – avoid long hours.

📚 For Primary and Higher Classes

1. Ice-Breaker Activities: Games like “Introduce Yourself,” “Name Chain,” or “Find Someone Who…” help build comfort.

2. Classroom Rules: Introduce expectations positively – use pictures or student role-play for clarity.

3. School Tour: Let them know where important places are – library, computer lab, office, etc.
