Breast Cancer Awareness Programme
October 27, 2025
A Breast Cancer Awareness Programme was organised in the school with the objective of educating students and staff about the causes, symptoms, prevention, and early detection of breast cancer. The initiative aimed to spread awareness and encourage a health-conscious mindset among the school community.
The programme began with a presentation highlighting the increasing need for awareness regarding breast cancer and the importance of early diagnosis. Teachers briefed students about basic symptoms to look out for, preventive habits, and the significance of regular health check-ups. Short informative videos and charts were displayed to help everyone clearly understand the topic.
Students actively participated in discussions and shared their thoughts on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through proper diet, regular exercise, and routine medical screenings. Pink ribbons, symbolising support for breast cancer awareness, were distributed, and posters bearing motivational messages were displayed on the campus.
The session successfully helped students gain knowledge, develop sensitivity towards health-related issues, and understand the importance of supporting those suffering from cancer. The programme concluded with the message that early detection can save lives, and spreading awareness is a responsibility we must all uphold.
